FORMAL ELEMENTS: This photo uses 'Colour' from the formal elements as the leaves are so bright and impactful and instantly catch your attention, however the wall is bland and less captivating, showing the beauty of where nature collides with something unnatural.
FORMAL ELEMENTS: This photo uses 'Texture' because you can see the detailing on the leaves ad on the fence. For example, you can see where the green paint on the metal pole has started to peel, showing the roughness of the pole.
FORMAL ELEMENTS: This photo uses 'Tone' from the formal elements as there is a darker mood about the photo, and it almost looks as though the plant is trying to bloom and grow, but it can't as the man-made structures are preventing it from it's full potential.
FORMAL ELEMENTS: I think this photo uses the 'Perspective' technique from the formal elements, as the twigs growing from the roof eventually blur in the back and it shows this perspective as the front is where the focus is and the back fades away.
FORMAL ELEMENTS: This photo uses 'Contrast' as you can see the white of the broken building juxtaposing to the browning leaves. This further emphasises the 'Man vs Nature'. as it's really showing the differences between the two through colour and texture.
FORMAL ELEMENTS: This photo uses 'Focus/DOF' as the background is all blurred, and the pipe, roof and webs are in focus. This draws the attention towards the actual spot where man and nature collide.
